Here’s what you should know:

• Your skin is numbed after the first pass: A secondary numbing gel is applied once the skin is open for faster relief and can be reapplied during the treatment.
  
• Mild, scratch‑like sensation: Expect light pressure or a scratching sensation, but far less than a body tattoo or even tweezing. Many of our clients fall asleep during their session.
  
• Comfort is checked throughout: Numbing is reapplied as needed, and your artist will check in with you throughout the service.

• Our signature powder technique for natural results: The pigment sits just under the surface of the skin, not deep like a traditional tattoo, which reduces discomfort.

All SKN Deep brow appointments are booked in a 3 hour timeslot.

This ensures that your artist has enough time to map, shape and prep the brows.

Once you have agreed to the shape and pigment colour, your brow artist will begin depositing pigment and creating your new brows.

It’s a common question, “If they’re called permanent brows, why do I need a touch-up?” The truth is, the pigments used for permanent brows are designed to fade softly over time so they stay looking natural, not harsh. 

Here’s what that means for you:

• About 6–8 weeks after your initial appointment, we do a touch-up to perfect the color and shape once your brows have healed.
  
• Most brows stay looking great for 2–3 years before needing a refresh.
  
• Things like sun exposure, oily skin, and skincare products (like retinol) can make pigment fade faster.
  
• A quick color boost every year or two keeps your brows looking fresh, without redoing the full procedure.

The gentle fading is what keeps your brows looking soft and natural over the years, and it gives you the freedom to tweak the shape or color if your style ever changes.

Permanent eyebrows work for most people, but there are a few cases where we recommend waiting or checking with your doctor prior to booking:

• Medical conditions: Uncontrolled diabetes, bleeding disorders, or certain skin conditions (like eczema or psoriasis) in the brow area.
  
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding: Best to postpone until after pregnancy or nursing for safety.
  
• Recent cosmetic treatments: Wait 2–4 weeks if you’ve had chemical peels, laser treatments, or fillers near the brow area.
  
• Skin sensitivities: If you’re prone to keloid scarring or have severe allergies, a consultation is required first.
